Die Deutsche Wochenschau is the title of the unified newsreel series released in the cinemas of Nazi Germany from June 1940 until the end of World War II, with the final edition issued on 22 March 1945. The co-ordinated newsreel production was set up as a vital instrument for the mass distribution of Nazi propaganda at war.

04:58-05:37 - Fighter pilot Sergeant Gerhard Köppen returns from a mission, 1942.
Köppen lands at an airfield and is greeted enthusiastically by his comrades. Köppen reports on the mission to his comrades, and celebrate his 72nd kill.
05:38-05:43 - Köppen's award at the Führer's headquarters at Wolf's Lair near Rastenburg, East Prussia, February 27, 1942.
Hitler presents Sergeant Köppen with the oak leaves for the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

Reichsmarschall Göring arrives by train for a meeting. Göring is greeted at the train, he goes to the headquarters.

Improving defensive positions in the Leningrad area. Spanish sappers of the Blue Division build a trench around their battery. A light infantry support gun is brought into position (7.5 cm le.IG 18). Defensive fight against advancing Soviet troops.

Individual soldiers receive the Iron Cross. At the headquarters of the Blue Division on the Eastern Front. General of the Cavalry Lindemann presents the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross to the commander of the Blue Division, Lieutenant General Muñoz Grandes.

Motorized columns of supply move through roads covered in deep snow. Soldiers with shovels are clearing the roads from the snow. Freezing cold conditions on Eastern Front. Tanks drive out of their shelter. Artillery observer is send with tank to direct artillery fire on enemy positions. Coordinates are measured on the map. Observer sending radio message to the battery. Artillery stars the barrage. Assault guns (StuG III Ausf.B) and tanks (Panzer III) are moving towards the village under enemy controll. Scenes shows effect of artillery fire: many Soviet soldiers killed and many tanks are destroyed. Destroyed Soviet T-34 and KW-1 tanks.

Railway brings a tank division. Tanks that are visible: Panzer II, Panzer 38(t). Equipment and supplies are unloaded. Rubber tires, fuel and guns are loaded into trucks. Trucks are towing heavy guns. Captured Soviet soldiers are stacking granades. Scenes show everyday life of soldiers on Eastern Front. Romanian mountain artillery shells Soviet positions. German infantry company has the task of clearing Jaila Mountains of partisans. German soldiers trying to catch pigs. Ammunition depots are blown up.
17:03-18:31 - Naval War, Greece/Aegean Sea, 1942.
Italian submarine hunters taking depth charges on board. Reaport of enemy submarine in area. A submarine is attacked with depth charges. An Italian fighter plane flies past.
18:32-19:42 - Italian Navy secure convoy to Africa, Mediterranean, 1942.
A seaplane takes off from the ship. Anti-aircraft defense against low-flying British torpedo planes.
19:42-24:31 - African campaign, Africa Corps, North Africa, 1942.
Colonel General Rommel gets out of the car and greets the Chief of the Italian Staff, General Cavallero. Field Marshal Kesselring arrives. Fighter pilot Lieutenant Hans-Joachim Marseille returns from a mission in his Bf-109. Big group of armoured vechicles are rolling through African desert.
